Congress Banquet

A renaissance banquet in the Turku Castle , one of the greatest examples of Finnish cultural heritage, will be a truly memorable experience. In the Middle Ages the castle was often visited by monarchs and became an important administrative centre. In the 16 th century, Duke John established a luxurious renaissance court in the castle. You are invited to enjoy a medieval dinner hosted by Duke John and his charming spouse Katarina Jagellonica.

Bus transportation is provided from all congress hotels.

    

City Reception

The City of Turku welcomes all workshop participants and accompanying persons to a City Reception in the Main Building of the Turku University . The building is located on the University Hill (Yliopistonmäki), which is the centre of the University Campus. The building was inaugurated in the year 1959 and it houses administrative offices of the University. The University Hill is located within a walking distance from the city centre; a short but yet a historic walk along the river and via Turku Cathedral. Bus transportation is also provided: the buses leave in front of the Hotels Ramada and Cumulus at 17.30.

Refreshments will be offered by the City of Turku . Congress Office desk will be open for those who wish to register to the Workshop in the City Reception.
