Presentation Guidelines

 

 

Oral Abstract Presentations

Oral abstract presentations are scheduled for 12 minutes plus 3 minutes for questions and answers, unless otherwise specified in the abstract disposition notice.

Please sit towards the front of the ballroom in the session in which you present. The session chair will introduce your presentation as well as monitor the length of the presentations.

All mobile phones must be turned off while you are presenting. Mobile phones on silent will cause feedback with the microphones. A laser pointer and slide advancer will be on the presentation podium for your use.

 

Speaker Check-In

TELUS Convention Centre, Exhibit Hall Foyer

All presenting authors must hand in their final presentation at the Speaker Check-in Desk located in the Exhibit Hall Foyer at the TELUS Convention Centre during the days and times designated below. The schedule is in place to ensure that all sessions run smoothly. Failure to submit your presentation on schedule could result in missing graphics for your presentation.

Computers will be provided on-site and equipped with the latest software for Macs and PCs. Presentations may be submitted on CD or USB stick. PowerPoint is the only accepted format.  Personal laptops may not be used.

Poster Presentations

TELUS Convention Centre, Exhibit Hall D

 

Poster Set Up:                                   Saturday, August 4 from 12:00 – 18:00

Poster Session 01:                           Saturday, August 4 from 19:00 – 21:00

Poster Session 02:                           Sunday, August 5 from 19:00 – 21:00

Poster Session 03:                           Tuesday, August 7 from 19:00 – 21:00

 

All posters must be removed by 1pm on Wednesday, August 8.  Poster space is 90 cm wide x 120 cm high. Push pins will be provided to affix your poster to the display board.

 

Presentation Requirements

• All posters must be set up on August 4, 2012 between 12:00 and 18:00 at the TELUS Convention Centre in Exhibit Hall D.  All posters must remain up for the duration of the Workshop.

• At least one of the authors must be present at your poster during the presentation session designated for the poster topic.
• All posters should be removed at the conclusion of the final poster session on Tuesday, August 7 at 21:00.  Remaining posters will be discarded.
